OHSAS 18001

The OHSAS 18001:2007 certificate is awarded to organizations and companies that have been able to successfully implement health and safety management system in their workplace. Implementation of a reliable health and safety management system will enable the organizations to identify and manage the existing and potential occupational health and safety risks and hazards within their organizations.

Business and industrial entities can acquire the OHSAS 18001:2007 certificate if their effective standards are in compliance with the international health and safety standards. Implementation of the occupational health and safety management system also helps the organizations and companies select suitable employees.

The occupational health and safety management system and the crisis control process are audited according to the OHSAS 18001:2007 standards. Although it is recommended that all enterprises in all industries follow the principles for acquiring this certificate, companies and organizations with employees facing higher occupational hazards or engaged in manual activities are obliged to acquire this certificate in order to control and reduce the effects of occupational hazards.
