ISO 9001

The ISO 9001:2000 world standard is a general standard obtainable by both production and service providing entities. It should not be forgotten that this international standard is different from product standards; in other words, ISO 9001:2000 evaluates the internal business processes of an organization, not the quality of its products. The newest edition of this standard was published on December 15th, 2000, replacing the 1994 editions of ISO9001, ISO9002 and ISO9003 and putting more emphasis on the continual improvement and customer satisfaction.

The main points of this new standard include quality management system, management responsibility, resource management, product fulfillment, measurement, analysis and improvement.
